With thanks to my new friends at Blonde Robot & Tamron Australia, I was fortunate enough to get my hands on a Tamron SP 150-600mm F/5–6.3 Di VC USD G2 to try out for a week or so.
The initial plan was to take it to a gig and use it to shoot from the sound desk but when those plans fell through I opted for my 'plan B' and headed to Melbourne Zoo instead.
As this was my first real experience with any Tamron lenses, I wasn't exactly too sure what I was going to walk away with but I can assure you that all of my expectations were exceeded.
This is one hell of a lens and I'm now very curious to see how it handles a concert or festival.
Just to give you an idea about the incredible zoom range on this lens in case you're wondering, the first shot is at 150mm and the second is from the same spot but zoom all the way in to 600mm.
These last few photos were taken with my Fuji X100F but I really liked them so wanted to add them to the end of this post regardless.
